According to Gregg Bell of the News Tribune, the King County prosecuting attorney has added a fifth charge against Sherman, currently a free agent. The charge is reckless endangerment of roadway workers, a gross misdemeanor.
That means Sherman will appear before a judge today on three gross misdemeanor charges and two misdemeanors. The other charges are criminal trespass with a domestic violence designation, malicious mischief, DUI, and resisting arrest.

The "domestic violence" designation has to do with Sherman's relationship to the occupants of the residence he trespassed and reportedly was not due to him injuring a member of his family.
Washington State Patrol Captain Ron Mead stated that the vehicle could no longer be driven.
Sherman then went to his in-laws' residence, eventually resulting in his arrest and the other charges. The 911 call made by his wife, Ashley Moss, indicated that Sherman was intoxicated and threatened suicide.
Sherman was released without bail yesterday, pending his ensuing hearing appearances today. He spent the last three seasons with the 49ers, and general manager John Lynch has offered to provide any resources or support that Sherman or his family might want.
Update: Sherman has pleaded not guilty to the three gross misdemeanors and two misdemeanors before King County District Court judge Lisa Paglisotti. He will have a pre-trial hearing on August 13 at King County District Court in Redmond.
