I recently asked a panel of 49ers analysts who are women to give 49ers head coach friendly advice. Here's what they said. Miriah 49FaithfulLee: "Don't let your ego ruin your career. It's OK to admit when you're wrong, and you need to admit when you're wrong in order to grow and make things right. ...Continue reading

Jimmy Garoppolo shares thoughts on 49ers future, may seek Aaron Rodgers' advice

By David Bonilla

Aaron Rodgers, for now, looks like he is holding off his eventual successor in Green Bay — Jordan Love. Rodgers' counterpart for the San Francisco 49ers, Jimmy Garoppolo, is trying to do the same. The Niners and Packers will clash on Sunday night as the former tries to remain undefeated in what is expected to be a tight NFC West race. Garoppolo joined The Rich Eisen show today and was asked about his NFL future and what he wants to come out of the 2021 season. Does he want to remain in San Francisco? It might take a superb season for that to happen, much like Rodgers did in 2020 or Garoppolo's mentor in New England, Tom Brady, did with him. "I don't know. To be completely honest, I haven't thought that far ahead yet," Garoppolo said. "It's one of

Legendary San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana answered questions for Bleacher Report this week. Among the things Montana was asked was a question about how he dealt with having a backup quarterback waiting to take his job. Jimmy Garoppolo is the current starting quarterback for the 49ers, and has performed well in the first two games. The San Francisco 49ers escaped with a 41-33 Week 1 victory over the Detroit Lions. However, the win came at a cost when it comes to the health of the team. Starting cornerback Jason Verrett reportedly suffered a torn ACL, ending his season. That's a devastating blow to the 49ers' pass defense. After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that the team is worried that Verrett indeed suffered a torn ACL. "It's crushing," the coach said. "I'm hoping for the best, but it's crushing. You know the bad luck he's had, and putting together these last two years, staying healthy, how good of a camp he had. We've got a lot of love for J.V. and respect him as much

Could Richard Sherman return to the San Francisco 49ers? Head coach Kyle Shanahan isn't eliminating the possibility following the likely loss of starting cornerback Jason Verrett for the season. After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that he fears Verrett suffered a torn ACL, ending the season again for the often-injured veteran cornerback. What are the 49ers' options moving forward? Recently-signed cornerback Josh Norman was inactive for the game. "He was definitely ready to go," Shanahan said. "Josh actually told us if we tell him today that he's up, he'll be ready to go. So Josh has been a soldier all week, and I'm real excited to have him here, and I know he was ready this week, so I expect him to be ready next week also." Shanahan
