The San Francisco 49ers have announced the following roster moves ahead of tomorrow night's Week 3 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Activated from the practice squad RB Kerryon Johnson Placed on injured reserve DL Kevin Givens RB JaMycal Hasty Givens and Hasty were injured during the 49ers' Week 2 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Both suffered ankle injuries but could return later this season. San Francisco enters the game with a 2-0 record while Green Bay is 1-1. Last Sunday was Nick Bosa's first time back on the field for a regular season game since tearing his ACL in the second week of last season. The San Francisco 49ers star defender finished the game with four tackles (including three tackles for loss), one sack and two quarterback hits in the team's win over the Detroit Lions. Asked Thursday how he felt about his first game back from injury, Bosa responded, "It was nice just to get back out there, get 50 plays on turf, and feel great. After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that he fears Verrett suffered a torn ACL, ending the season again for the often-injured veteran cornerback. What are the 49ers' options moving forward? Recently-signed cornerback Josh Norman was inactive for the game. "He was definitely ready to go," Shanahan said. "Josh actually told us if we tell him today that he's up, he'll be ready to go. The San Francisco 49ers have announced that running back Raheem Mostert and cornerback Jason Verrett have been placed on injured reserve. Both will miss the remainder of the 2021 season. Mostert and Verrett were injured during Sunday's win against the Detroit Lions. Mostert suffered a knee injury. While he was initially expected to miss about eight weeks, the running back announced today that he would undergo season-ending surgery on what is reported to be a torn meniscus. Verrett suffered a torn ACL and lands on injured reserve for the sixth time in eight seasons.
