Internally, there is hope that Moore might be available by the end of the season, but he is expected to miss at least a significant amount of time after suffering a torn Achilles on Monday.
Yes, those are two significant injuries during the same practice. The 49ers are in the third and final week of organized team activities and have one practice remaining — a Thursday session — before next week's mandatory three-day minicamp.
Following news of the injuries, San Francisco
canceled its scheduled practice and media availability for Tuesday.
Contract details for Pruitt, Jones, and Burgess
The contract details for several recently-signed 49ers players have been revealed by OverTheCap.com.
Tight end Mycole Pruitt signed a one-year deal with the Niners on June 2. It has a base salary of $990,000 and a prorated bonus of $137,500. However, it only counts $987,500 against the cap. The most interesting thing about the contract is the $500,000 that is guaranteed. That would indicate that the team expects Pruitt to make the 53-man roster.
San Francisco signed wide receiver Andy Jones to a one-year deal on July 1. His deal includes a base salary of $850,000 with no guaranteed money.
New linebacker James Burgess will earn a base salary of $990,000 on his one-year deal with a cap hit of $850,000 due to the veteran salary exception.
Wide receiver Bennie Fowler will also earn a base salary of $990,000 on his one-year deal. The contract has a cap hit of $850,000 due to the veteran salary exception.
OverTheCap.com currently lists the 49ers with about $17.75 million in salary-cap space, which doesn't include
Monday's signing of safety Tony Jefferson.
Team may cancel remaining practices
According to
Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, the 49ers may opt to cancel their remaining offseason program practices following Monday's injuries.
Wrote Branch: "The 49ers canceled Tuesday's practice and scheduled media availability and had a 'team-building activity,' a team spokesman said. There is a strong possibility the 49ers will cancel the rest of their offseason program, which was scheduled to end with next week's three-day mandatory minicamp."
That could mean 49ers players won't return to the practice field until training camp at the end of July.
Charges against Kevin Givens dropped

Kevin Givens have been dropped. The defender was arrested in February on a charge of second-degree assault.
According to
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, the situation has been resolved. Again, it's not recent news, but it may have slipped through the cracks.
