Some have criticized the move all the way up to No. 3, believing that Lance could have been had with a lower selection. However, the team made it clear that the move into the top three, with the first two selections being almost a certainty, created a situation

Earlier today, ESPN reported that the San Francisco 49ers had signed offensive lineman Aaron Banks, a second-round draft pick, to his four-year rookie deal. The Niners shared the jersey numbers of the eight drafted rookies, so observing reporters can figure out who is who while watching from a distance today.
