The Deshaun Watson saga continues, and the star quarterback may have played his last snap for the Houston Texans. At least, that is the "growing sense" from sources in and around the organization, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter (h/t to Patrick Tulini).

Schefter adds that the Texans head-coaching vacancy has gone from the least-desirable opening to the worst head-coaching job in the NFL. That's not good news for owner Cal McNair and new general manager Nick Caserio.

If Watson has no intention of playing for the Texans again, he could force a trade. That's where teams like the San Francisco 49ers might come in, should they look to upgrade the quarterback position. San Francisco currently owns the third-best odds to have Watson on its roster at the start of the 2021 season, according to oddsmakers at Bovada. Of course, the team with the sportsbook's best odds remains the Texans. Between the two organizations on Bovada's list are the Miami Dolphins.

Watson, 25, is still young and set to enter his fifth NFL season. He is locked up through the 2025 season after signing a four-year contract extension with the Texans in September.

Watson is a three-time Pro Bowl selection and led the league with a career-high 4,823 passing yards through 16 games in 2020, completing 70.2 percent of his passes while throwing 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus unveiled a seven-round mock draft for the San Francisco 49ers, addressing several key needs for the team in the 10-pick projection. Interestingly, the mock draft sees the team adding two legacy players. But before delving into that, let's examine the first three selections. Sikkema has the 49ers shoring up their offensive line at pick No. 31 with the selection of former Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan. Morgan allowed 14 pressures and two sacks in his 477 pass-blocking snaps at left tackle in 2023. He earned an impressive pass-blocking grade of 87.3 and an overall grade of

NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah unveiled his fourth and final mock draft, projecting the San Francisco 49ers to select Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy with the No. 31 overall pick. While many anticipated the 49ers bolstering their offensive line in the first round, Jeremiah's choice may raise eyebrows. However, with seven offensive tackles already off the board, he opted to provide third-year quarterback Brock Purdy with another explosive target. "This is my favorite fit in the first round," Jeremiah explained. "We saw what Tank Dell did in a similar offensive system with Houston, and we know what Mike McDaniel has been able to build with so much
