According to Pro Football Reference, Fred Warner registered a team-leading and career-high 125 tackles, including five for a loss, in 2020. He added a sack, six passes defensed, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. It was enough to finally earn the San Francisco 49ers linebacker his overdue Pro Bowl and All-Pro nods. Anthony Treash of Pro Football Focus calls former Florida tight end Kyle Pitts a "generational" prospect leading up to the reveal of the analytics site's latest mock draft — a two-round affair. He notes that his selections don't necessarily predict what he believes NFL teams will do in the upcoming draft, but what he would do if he were making each of the selections for each organization. PFF lists center Weston Richburg as 49ers' top cut candidate

Salary cap analyst Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus went through the exercise of picking each NFL team's top cut candidate this offseason. For the San Francisco 49ers, he named an offensive lineman who spent all of last season on the reserve/physically-unable-to-perform list — center Weston Richburg. With over $13 million in projected salary-cap space, a post-June 1 cut of Richburg would save the team nearly $8 million while creating about $3.5 million in dead money. 49ers trade down, select South Carolina CB Jaycee Horn in latest PFF mock draft

Pro Football Focus released its latest mock draft. Eric Eager and George Chahrouri have the San Francisco 49ers trading out of the No. 12 spot and adding a few more picks in the process. The Washington Football Team uses the selection to add quarterback Mac Jones of Alabama after the Pro Football Focus duo has the top four quarterback prospects — Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance — gone by pick No. 9.
