Earlier today, ESPN reported that the San Francisco 49ers had signed offensive lineman Aaron Banks, a second-round draft pick, to his four-year rookie deal. The team has also signed four others — offensive lineman Jaylon Moore, cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, safety Talanoa Hufanga, and running back Elijah Mitchell. Aaron Wilson first reported the news. The San Francisco 49ers kick off a three-day rookie minicamp today. While only five of the team's eight draft selections are signed, all eight are eligible to participate. The Niners shared the jersey numbers of the eight drafted rookies, so observing reporters can figure out who is who while watching from a distance today. Ambry Thomas can't wait. He can't wait to find out what the NFL has to throw at him. The former Michigan cornerback did not play in 2020 and is itching to get back onto the football field.
