San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York recently spoke with NBC Sports Bay Area and called the team's decision to hold onto Jimmy Garoppolo while drafting his replacement an investment in Trey Lance's future. Basically, that means York had no problem holding onto the veteran quarterback and his hefty salary if it means affording Lance the luxury of sitting, learning, and eventually being better for it. "So, for us, if you invest $25 (million) or $50 million into your rookie to get them ready, then to me, we're investing in the long-term future of our team," York told Matt Maiocco. Ambry appeared in 12 games as a junior in 2019, recording 38 tackles, three tackles for a loss, three interceptions, and three passes defensed. He joined 95.7 The Game on Thursday morning to share what he brings to the 49ers defense and how he labels his style of play. "I'm a straight man corner, honestly," Thomas said on the Morning Roast. "... I'm going to get in your face, and I'm going to challenge you at the line of

When rookie cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers on May 1, it came with some very special significance given what the team meant to his late brother. The 49ers were a favorite of Lenoir's late brother, whom Lenoir paid tribute to with a Tweet shortly after finding out where he would be starting his NFL career.
