The San Francisco 49ers are coming off their bye week, looking to go on a run during their final six games of the season. Key contributors like quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and tight end George Kittle remain out, but the injury-ravaged roster could be receiving some reinforcements this week.

While several players remain on the reserve/COVID-19 list, head coach Kyle Shanahan is optimistic that cornerback Richard Sherman, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, and running backs Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman could return in time for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

According to MyBookie, the Rams opened as 7.5-point favorites (O/U 46.5) over the 49ers in the upcoming matchup at SoFi Stadium. Los Angeles is coming off a 27-24 Monday-night victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The last time the two teams met — during a Week 6 matchup at Levi's Stadium — the Rams opened as 3-point favorites. A healthier 49ers squad won the game 24-16.

"I've got high expectations for our team," Shanahan said last week. "I know our team does also, and I know we're going to get some guys back who help us, but we can't count on those guys coming back like they're just going to be the answer. Those guys can help, but we need everyone who's been playing to get a lot better, coaches included, and I believe that we can."

The Rams and Seattle Seahawks sit atop the NFC West with matching 7-3 records, while San Francisco sits in last place at 4-6.

The 49ers and Rams are scheduled to kick off on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. PT.

While that report was quickly shot down by his agent, there's still a lot of discussion about Aiyuk's future and if other teams will come calling on draft night.
