49ers Stock Report: Nick Mullens loses value by the snap
Sunday's 27-13 loss to the New Orleans Saints was particularly brutal because at one point, San Francisco seemed so firmly in control.

Former 49ers receiver doesn't see the value in drafting Mac Jones at No. 3
By David Bonilla

Count former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Torrey Smith among those who would question Mac Jones being the draft selection at No. 3 overall. It is important to note that Smith likes the Alabama quarterback and describes him as a "solid player," but is he a prospect worth trading future first-round picks and a third-rounder?
Smith doesn't see it.
"I promised to never be the former player that is a hater but I swear I have a hard time understanding the 49ers would trade all of that for Mac Jones," wrote Smith in a tweet. "I like Mac and I think he will be a solid player but as a prospect I don't see the value in 'mortgaging the future' for

Neither Lynch nor Shanahan asked Nick Saban about Mac Jones, potential 49ers draft pick, at pro day

File this under interesting pre-draft tidbits. San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan were in attendance for Alabama's pro day last week. That made headlines because the duo opted to watch quarterback Mac Jones rather than attend Ohio State's pro day to watch Justin Fields. Paired with Chris Simms' speculation that San Francisco might have traded up to the No. 3 spot for Jones, that spurred others to seriously consider a Jones-to-49ers scenario.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban recently joined the Dan Patrick Show and shared that neither Lynch nor Shanahan asked him anything about his former quarterback, who helped guide the Crimson Tide to a national championship. And it wasn't because they didn't have an opportunity to do

49ers' Nick Bosa shares video showing rehab progress

Nick Bosa was one of several ("several" may be an understatement) San Francisco 49ers who suffered injuries last season. The young pass rusher's injury was season-ending. He suffered a torn ACL in Week 2.
Bosa appears to be recovering nicely. On Thursday, he posted a new workout video on social media, which was captured and shared by our friends over at @OurSF49ers_. The video shows Bosa running with a weight sled tied to his waist, and he doesn't appear to be hampered by his left knee injury.
Nick Bosa's ACL recovery looks to be going amazing, you love to see it 🙌🏼

Another report surfaces that 49ers seek a 1st-round pick for Jimmy Garoppolo

A second report stating that the San Francisco 49ers seek a first-round pick to consider trading Jimmy Garoppolo has surfaced. That means the team has no real desire to part ways with the quarterback despite making a move last week to draft his successor. San Francisco seeks to keep Garoppolo around for this season, allowing the team to ease a rookie into the playbook and offense.
On Wednesday, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported that it would take a first-round pick for the 49ers to consider altering their plan for the upcoming season.
"I was told that, yes, it'd take a first-round pick for the Niners to listen at this point," Breer wrote, "which
