Fans weren't sure if Jaquiski Tartt would play this season. The San Francisco 49ers safety dealt with a toe injury during training camp, and his future seemed uncertain. Tartt wasn't even sure when he would return to the field. "For me, I was thinking ... Man, I probably won't be back until game five, game six," Tartt told reporters after Friday's practice. Tartt was ready to go for Week 1. "The training staff did a great job, coaches did a great job of attacking the problem with my toe," the safety continued. "For me, it was more of a spiritual thing as well, just keeping faith that I'll be back in time." There were several potential game-changing plays during the 49ers' Week 2 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. One might

The San Francisco 49ers have their sights set on a return to the playoffs, much like what the 2019 version of the team accomplished. Could a return to the Super Bowl be in the forecast? Maybe. But, as was the case two years ago, the road won't be easy. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is one of the many remaining pieces from that 2019 team. He still has his All-Pro tight end, George Kittle. He still has wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who leads the league in receiving this season. The defensive line is healthy and formidable again, with Nick Bosa terrorizing opposing quarterbacks. How does the 49ers quarterback compare this year's team to the squad from two years

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch joined KNBR's Tolbert, Krueger & Brooks show this afternoon and provided some updates on Dre Greenlaw. Earlier today, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reported that the linebacker would undergo surgery and miss a good chunk of time. The 49ers general manager confirmed the report. "So, he is going to have surgery," Lynch said. "They got a couple of opinions on the groin. It's a core muscle injury that Dre's been dealing with here for the last couple of weeks, and he did a great job kind of battling through it. [He] had a big impact on the game against Detroit. "It was actually on the pick-six [off

San Fransisco 49ers third-year wideout Deebo Samuel broke out onto the scene once again during Week 1 against the Detroit Lions last Sunday. The wide receiver put up impressive numbers with 9 catches and a touchdown for a total of 189 yards, the second-highest receiving total by any Niners player on opening week. This comes as a relief to San Fransisco as Samuel once again looked like the promising player he previously showed flashes of whenever he was healthy. In his rookie season, back in 2019, Deebo was touted as one of the best receivers out of the draft right next to A.J. Brown, DK Metcalf, and Terry McLaurin as the blossoming rookie put up 802 yards on 57 catches. However, the very next season, 2020, the injury bug that hit the rest of the Niners roster affected Deebo
