Those fans were probably crushed to see linebacker Dre Greenlaw pick off new Lions quarterback Jared Goff and take the football into the end zone, giving the Niners a 28-10 lead before halftime. Local fans of the San Francisco 49ers finally have something to cheer for as their team will play in a packed Levi's Stadium for the first time in just over 20 months. 49ers-Lions: Raheem Mostert ruled out with knee injury; Dre Greenlaw questionable to return

The San Francisco 49ers announced that running back Raheem Mostert is questionable to return to the game against the Detroit Lions due to a knee injury. The running back was in the game for the team's first two drives, including a scoring drive, but did not return for the third. The 49ers and Lions are currently tied 7-7 at Ford Field. Mostert has two carries for 20 rushing yards. Rookie Elijah Mitchell replaced Mostert at the start of the third drive. The team's other rookie running back, Trey Sermon, is healthy but inactive. High on the list of positives for the San Francisco 49ers in their season-opening 41-33 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday was the performance of pass rushers Nick Bosa and Dee Ford, who were both effective in their first games back from injuries that held them out for most of the 2020 season. Bosa, who tore his ACL in Week 2 of the 2020 season, had four tackles, one sack, three tackles-for-loss, and two quarterback hits in the win over the Lions. Ford, who was limited to one game in 2020 due to back issues, chipped in a sack of his own and put pressure on Lions quarterback Jared Goff on more than one occasion.
