The San Francisco 49ers didn't want to wait too long to wear their all-white throwback uniforms again. According to wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, the team plans to do so on Sunday for its road matchup at CenturyLink Field against the Seattle Seahawks. That will be just two weeks after the 49ers wore the throwbacks against the Los Angeles Rams — a game they won 24-16.

Bourne notes it's victory Monday ... but it's actually Tuesday. We won't hold that against the energetic and fun-loving receiver, though, because he delivers the news that the fan-favorite uniforms will be back.

San Francisco wore the same uniforms for last season's Week 17 matchup in Seattle. Kyle Shanahan's squad won the game 26-21, clinching the NFC West crown on the final play of the regular season.

The throwback uniforms are replicas of those worn by the last 49ers team to win a Super Bowl — the 1994 squad that beat the San Diego Chargers in Super Bowl XXIX. Those uniforms were part of the league's 75th anniversary and were throwbacks themselves to the team's jerseys during the 1955 season.

The 49ers wore the uniforms twice last season. In addition to that Week 17 matchup, the team donned the jerseys during a Week 8 51-13 rout of the Carolina Panthers.

Rapoport: 49ers send clear message to teams inquiring about Brandon Aiyuk

By David Bonilla
Apr 16

Ian Rapoport didn't offer much of an update on the ongoing contract negotiations between the San Francisco 49ers and their standout wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk. However, the NFL insider emphasized one thing: The team is not entertaining trade discussions at this juncture. Reacting to Aiyuk's decision to unfollow the 49ers on Instagram, Rapoport couldn't help but chuckle at the latest development. This practice has become commonplace among players who are unhappy with their contract situations. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel similarly took this action in 2022 before requesting to be traded just before the draft. Things have yet to escalate that far with Aiyuk, but Rapoport sees his
