49ers-Lions: Raheem Mostert ruled out with knee injury; Dre Greenlaw questionable to return

The San Francisco 49ers announced that running back Raheem Mostert is questionable to return to the game against the Detroit Lions due to a knee injury. The running back was in the game for the team's first two drives, including a scoring drive, but did not return for the third. The 49ers and Lions are currently tied 7-7 at Ford Field. Mostert has two carries for 20 rushing yards. Rookie Elijah Mitchell replaced Mostert at the start of the third drive. The team's other rookie running back, Trey Sermon, is healthy but inactive. The San Francisco 49ers are at The Greenbrier in West Virginia, where they held their last of three full practices this week. The team is preparing for its Week 2 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. #49ers DL Javon Kinlaw (knee) and Arik Armstead (adductor) are taking part in stretch at start of practice after being limited on Thursday. CB Emmanuel Moseley (knee) also with the group in stretch after not practicing past two days. This only part open to media today.

Rookie Elijah Mitchell hasn't practiced yet this week after sustaining a shoulder injury against the Philadelphia Eagles, lowering his chances of playing this weekend. Trey Sermon was no longer wearing a blue no-contact jersey. After practice, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that the rookie running back has been cleared from the concussion protocol and will be ready for this weekend's game.
