NFL reschedules Ravens-Steelers due to COVID-19 concerns, which the league didn't do for the 49ers

The NFL announced that Thursday's game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers is being moved to Sunday due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. "This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel and in consultation with medical experts," the NFL said via a statement. This is a move that the league was unwilling to make for the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the team's Week 9 contest against the Green Bay Packers when several players landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Arik Armstead landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, and he won't be the last player to do so. Head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters via Zoom from his home today and confirmed that some close-contacts are at risk and will join Armstead on the list. "He did have some close contacts," Shanahan said. "When we get them all, they'll be on the list, so you'll see that. I think with this being out bye week, we weren't in there anyways.
