Analytics site Pro Football Focus released its grades from Sunday's Week 3 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants. The road-team Niners routed the home-team Giants 36-9, sweeping the two New York area teams during back-to-back games at MetLife Stadium.
Quarterback Nick Mullens had an impressive outing in his ninth career start. He finished the game 25-of-36 for 343 yards with a touchdown, a passer rating of 108.9, and Pro Football Focus' highest grade on offense for either team.
While safety Marcell Harris is listed as the 49ers defense's highest-graded player, it was only through seven snaps.
Linebacker
Fred Warner was the highest-graded defender who had significant playing time for either team. He finished the game with seven tackles, an interception, and a pass defensed, according to Pro Football Reference. Pro Football Focus credited Warner with a pressure and quarterback hit.
