49ers waive Takk McKinley, add Brandon Aiyuk, Trent Williams, Daniel Helm to reserve/COVID-19 list

The San Francisco 49ers officially announced that the team has waived Takkarist McKinley after the defensive end failed his physical due to a groin injury. Matt Barrows of The Athletic first reported the move. The 49ers also announced that three more players — wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, tight end Daniel Helm, and tackle Trent Williams — have been added to the reserve/COVID-19 list. They become fifth, sixth, and seventh players added to the reserve/COVID-19 list this week. This is the second time on the list for both Aiyuk and Williams. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters via Zoom on Tuesday and provided several updates on players. First, the injury updates.
