The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 6 contest against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was a full participant in practice for the third consecutive day and will start on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams. He has been dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to miss two games before returning for a half this past weekend against the Miami Dolphins. Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley is attempting to return from a concussion after missing two games. He is listed as "questionable." He needs to pass one more step in the concussion protocol. The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 7 contest against the New England Patriots on Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Starting safeties Jaquiski Tartt and Jimmie Ward have been ruled out for Sunday. Tartt is dealing with a groin injury and has not practiced at all this week. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters before today's practice and shared some good news regarding Trent Williams. The veteran offensive tackle suffered an ankle injury on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams and will not practice today. No, that's not the good news. The good news is that tests showed that the injury was not as serious as it could have been, with some fearing a high-ankle sprain or worse. "[The scans] showed that nothing was broken and that it wasn't a high-ankle (sprain)," Shanahan said.
