49ers could be ready to run with four running backs, four tight ends and four wideouts active

Rookie wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk's NFL debut will have to wait. The 49ers' first-round pick is inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Cardinals at Levi's Stadium because of a hamstring injury he suffered on Aug. 23. Aiyuk will be sidelined a day after the 49ers placed wide receiver Deebo Samuel (foot) on short-term injured reserve.

Daniel Jeremiah explains why 49ers could still address pass rush in NFL Draft

By David Bonilla
Mar 21

Mock drafts will never please everyone, especially when they solely focus on the first 32 selections without offering perspective on what might come beyond the first round. Regarding the San Francisco 49ers, analyst Daniel Jeremiah's latest mock draft was no different. He projected former Penn State pass rusher Chop Robinson to join the Bay Area team. Why the skepticism from fans? The 49ers' free agency focus has been on revamping their defensive front. Flannigan-Fowles' base salary is slightly higher, at about $1.77 million. Feliciano is scheduled to count about $2.28 million against the 2024 salary cap, while Flannigan-Fowles is slated to consume almost $1.3 million. The linebacker's reduced impact is due to the 49ers using a portion of up to $1.45 million of salary that won't count against the salary cap for veteran players. The 49ers are paying Feliciano a
