San Francisco 49ers projected 2021 depth chart: Post-draft

By Kirk Larrabee
Apr 29, 2021

How will the 49ers' depth chart look as the NFL Draft moves on? That's a question we'll attempt to answer here. It's a bit difficult at this time of the year to accurately project a depth chart, given how many players are new to the team, how many will come and go in the weeks ahead, and how many positions may shift down the line. There's an awful lot of guesswork going on here, but we'll give it a try based on who is on the roster at the moment. The 49ers will release their first unofficial depth chart at some point in the weeks or months ahead. 49ers' Trey Lance tied for 3rd-best odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year

By David Bonilla

Right now, new Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence owns the best odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, per DraftKings SportsBook (h/t to Patrick Tulini). That was the reason behind holding onto Garoppolo. "I

A select number of draft prospects will be invited to Cleveland to walk across the stage and shake hands with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. The NFL Draft will also feature draft prospects participating remotely across the country. Last month, the 49ers arguably made their most aggressive move since trading Joe Montana, as they gave up multiple picks to jump from No. 12 to No. 3 in this year's NFL Draft. The first Mock Draft Roundup I compiled of analysts' projected picks for San Francisco featured primarily defensive players, but NFL pundits have now

Why Trey Lance Will Be the No. 3 Pick to 49ers

By Rohan Chakravarthi

I know. I'm being bold with my prediction. But with just hours before Roger Goodell steps up to the podium and announces who the third pick will be, Trey Lance seems to be the selection. For the last month, betting odds have wavered, starting with Mac Jones as the heavy favorite once the trade was announced, then going to Justin Fields after his second pro day, and then once again becoming Mac Jones, before Trey Lance took over as the favorite on April 29th, just hours before the pick will be made.
