So, naturally, he's having a lot of fun watching quarterback Zach Wilson, who is having an impressive season and appears to be on a collision course with the first round of next year's draft. The undefeated Cougars rank No. 8 on the AP Top 25, and Wilson has completed 74.7 percent of his passes for 2,511 yards with 21 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He's an intriguing prospect, especially for the San Francisco 49ers, who might be in the market for a quarterback. Sando: Multiple execs think 49ers will strongly consider alternatives to Jimmy Garoppolo

Mike Sando of The Athletic recently spoke to his NFL contacts, and the belief seems to be that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's time with the San Francisco 49ers is coming to an end. "I'm selling stock," one offensive coach told Sando. Garoppolo owns a 24-8 record as a starter. The only problem is that he can't stay on the field. Garoppolo has missed 16 games over the past three seasons — a full season's worth. Those subscribing to the belief that availability is the best ability will question Garoppolo's value, especially considering how much salary-cap space he consumes.
