49ers had to alter travel plans on their way to play Jets due to damage to their own jet

The San Francisco 49ers typically fly out of San Jose International Airport for road games and were set to do so for this two-game stint on the East Coast. Their plans changed, however, when the plane was found to be damaged, forcing the entire team to travel north and leave out of San Francisco International Airport, according to an on-air report by FOX. The 49ers plan to stay on the East Coast between their two games at MetLife Stadium. The team has a comfortable lead late in the fourth quarter against the New York Jets and will return to play the New York Giants in one week. Richard Sherman has talked contract with 49ers, plans to play three more seasons after 2020

At some point, Richard Sherman will enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He'll have to wait until five years after retirement to do so, and some wonder when the San Francisco 49ers' veteran cornerback will decide to call it a career. It sounds like that will be after the 2023 season. And Sherman hopes to continue playing for the 49ers.
