San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had been organizing practice sessions with teammates in San Jose, California, and then in Nashville, Tennessee, before the NFL Players Associated (NFLPA) advised against them. His goal was to give teammates a chance to work with each other and better prepare for the challenging season ahead. Surprise, surprise; he chose three of the best teams from last season — the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, and San Francisco 49ers. What constitutes being a "complete" team? Arik Armstead continues offseason training with a familiar ex-49ers defender

Defensive lineman Arik Armstead is working hard this offseason to prove that his team-leading 10-sack 2019 campaign was no fluke, and after signing a lucrative five-year deal to remain with the San Francisco 49ers. It looks like Armstead is training with a familiar face, too. San Jose-area photographer Pierre Whitsey comes through again with some photos from San Jose State on Monday, showing Armstead training with former teammate DeForest Buckner. The 49ers in March traded Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for the No. 13 overall pick, which, after trading down one spot, ended up becoming the selection of Buckner's replacement — defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw.
