The team lost a few veteran leaders in defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, and offensive tackle Joe Staley. The first was traded away, so it wasn't the player's decision to leave. The second opted to sign with the New Orleans Saints in free agency. The third retired. CBS Sports recently listed the San Francisco 49ers as having the fourth-best offseason in the NFL. Frank Schwab of Yahoo Sports recently gave the team a C- when grading it's offseason moves. Arik Armstead continues offseason training with a familiar ex-49ers defender

Defensive lineman Arik Armstead is working hard this offseason to prove that his team-leading 10-sack 2019 campaign was no fluke, and after signing a lucrative five-year deal to remain with the San Francisco 49ers. It looks like Armstead is training with a familiar face, too. San Jose-area photographer Pierre Whitsey comes through again with some photos from San Jose State on Monday, showing Armstead training with former teammate DeForest Buckner.
