San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh spoke with team reporter Keiana Martin for this week's State of the Franchise event and discussed rookie defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw. Saleh offered up his scouting report of the team's first-round pick. "He's a very large human being," Saleh shared, "very explosive, very powerful, plays with the mindset that we like, a very angry football player. Nick Bosa has the potential to be a force along the San Francisco 49ers defensive line for years to come. The young pass rusher was as good as advertised during his first NFL season, a campaign that earned him NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. The 49ers' all-time sack leader, Bryant Young, loves what he sees in Bosa. Trent Williams' reworked contract prevents the 49ers tackle from being franchised, per report

San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams signed his reworked contract last week. Included was wording that prevents the team from using the franchise tag on him next year. That means that Williams and the 49ers must agree on a new contract extension before he hits free agency in 2021, or agree to part ways. As part of his reworked contract with the 49ers, OT Trent Williams cannot be franchise tagged after this season, per source.
