Kyle Shanahan spoke with the voice of the San Francisco 49ers, Greg Papa, during the team's virtual State of the Franchise event this week. The head coach was asked what he sees from his quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, who isn't worried about recovering from an ACL injury this offseason. "I think Jimmy had an unbelievable year last year," Shanahan said. "When you look at him statistically, just percentages and stuff of what he did, he's extremely accurate, kept us in some very good situations, and won a few games for us, too. Rapoport believes 49ers will be 'very, very cautious' with Deebo Samuel's return from a broken foot

NFL insider Ian Rapoport broke the news on Thursday that San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel suffered a Jones fracture of his left foot this week during a player-organized practice at the Brentwood Academy, just outside Nashville, Tennessee. Rapoport went on to give an estimate of 12 to 16 weeks for Samuel's return. Samuel, who underwent the surgery today, doesn't believe his return will take that long. Some 49ers players' COVID-19 test results coming in negative
