DENVER - You'll get to see Jimmy Garoppolo play tonight. But I wouldn't blink. Garoppolo will play in his first NFL game since Sept. 23 when the 49ers visit the Broncos in their second preseason game, but Kyle Shanahan has indicated his outing will be brief. The 49ers will be without 40 percent of their starting offensive line - right guard Mike Person (foot) has joined center Weston Richburg (knee) on the sideline - and Shanahan referenced that after the last of two joint practices with the Broncos on Saturday. "(I) want to play him," Shanahan said. "A lot has to do with when we watch his film from these two practices -- how long we do play all our starters? What O-linemen are available and things like that. I'd like him to get in there for a little bit." So what's a fan to do when Garoppolo leaves after a little bit? Here are seven players, most of whom are fighting for a roster spot, to watch closely tonight after Garoppolo exits the stage: LB Azeez Al-Shaair: It's not easy to wake folks from their slumber during the second half of a preseason game. But Al-Shaair managed to do just that with a textbook read-and-react tackle on a screen pass in the third quarter of the preseason...

Draft Watch: Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley visiting 49ers on Wednesday

The San Francisco 49ers are hosting several draft prospects this week as the deadline for pre-draft visits draws near. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, the team will host former Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley on Wednesday.
Corley is expected to be a Day 2 pick. San Francisco owns two selections on Day 2—the No. 63 overall pick in the second round and the No. 94 overall pick in the third round. Currently, the receiver is visiting with the Seattle Seahawks.
