On Sunday, the 49ers announced that offensive tackle Shon Coleman had surgery after he sustained a broken fibula and dislocated ankle in a preseason win over the Cowboys on Saturday. The 49ers are expected to place Coleman on season-ending injured reserve Monday.

Bad news on the injury front keeps coming for the San Francisco 49ers, who on Friday announced they'd be without tight end George Kittle against the New York Jets this Sunday due to a knee injury.
