The report from the 49ers' seventh practice of training camp. WEATHER: 75 degrees and sunny at the start of the 10:15 a.m. practice LENGTH OF PRACTICE: 1 hour, 30 minutes. SCHEDULE: The 49ers will return to practice at 10:15 a.m. Sunday INJURIES: Edge rusher Dee Ford missed his second straight practice with knee tendinitis. Kyle Shanahan has downplayed the issue and defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who doesn't discuss injuries, didn't shed any light on the situation Saturday. "So Dee Ford, with what he has going on, that's going to be completely on the performance staff," Saleh said. "So when they say he's ready to come in, he'll be ready. He's got nothing to prove to us." DT DeForest Buckner (toe), CB Ahkello Witherspoon (glute), RB Jeff Wilson (calf), G Joshua Garnett (finger) and FS Jimmie Ward (collarbone) did not practice. LT Joe Staley and CB Richard Sherman had vet days. TRANSACTIONS: The 49ers signed DL Jay Bromley and WR Chris Thompson and waived WR Max McCaffery and placed DL Kapron Lewis-Moore (groin) on injured reserve. Report: 49ers CEO Jed York set to become principal owner

According to Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal, San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York is preparing to assume the role of principal owner of the team by acquiring the necessary equity from his mother, Denise DeBartolo York. "The transaction and title change is subject to NFL approval, expected during the league meetings underway today in Orlando," Fischer wrote. "It's not known precisely how much of the club Jed York will own individually after this deal, but the family owns more than 95% of the 49ers, valued at $6B by Forbes in 2023."
