Irvin: 49ers would win the Super Bowl 'every year' with Deshaun Watson
By David Bonilla

Hall of Fame wide receiver turned analyst Michael Irvin joins Bay Area radio every week to discuss all things football. So, of course, 95.7 The Game's Damon Bruce had to ask Irvin about the possibility of the San Francisco 49ers adding a dynamic and exciting player like quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Watson is not happy with the Houston Texans, which has led to speculation that the quarterback could request a trade. Naturally, that means nearly every fanbase that feels Watson would be an upgrade over their team's current quarterback situation is creating online chatter about a trade.

On Monday, Shanahan and general manager John Lynch sat down and spoke at length with reporters — via Zoom, of course. It had been less than 24 hours since the team arrived back in the Bay Area after completing the 2020 season

Trent Williams proved to be a good replacement for retired offensive tackle Joe Staley. In fact, Williams anchoring the offensive line's left side looked like an upgrade, and his addition was a bright spot in an otherwise depressing injury-plagued season for the defending NFC champions.
The only problem is that the San Francisco 49ers knew they were getting Williams with just one season left on his contract. Now, they'll need to find a way to ensure the veteran tackle becomes one of the top-paid offensive linemen in the league. Williams is one of nearly 40 Niners who played last season on the final year of their contracts.
