In the wake of Monday night's widely praised presentation of the college football championship game, the normally reclusive Levi's Stadium agreed to an interview with The Chronicle. Chronicle: Congratulations on your performance in the championship game. You got rave reviews. Levi's: Thanks, but I try not to pay much attention to the critics. I've been quietly kicking stadium ass since my doors opened, but oh, the whining! It's too hot. It's too far away. The grass is slippery. Whaaa! Talk about entitled. I'm surprised they don't complain that the goalposts are too yellow. Chronicle: Are you saying all the criticism is unfair? Levi's: Once you get a reputation, it's hard to shake.

Add another tight end to the list of players the San Francisco 49ers have expressed interest in. Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 reports that the team has spoken with former Kentucky tight end Brenden Bates as part of its pre-draft evaluation process.

Just when you thought the San Francisco 49ers and Tom Brady storylines had concluded, the future Hall of Fame quarterback drops another tidbit that sparks discussion. During an episode of "DeepCut with VicBlends," the host asked Brady what he would do if the NFL came calling once again.
VicBlends inquired if Brady would consider returning to the football field if a playoff-bound team like the 49ers needed him.

49ers sign WR Trent Taylor, reuniting with former draft pick

The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of wide receiver Trent Taylor to a one-year deal, reuniting with the team's former fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area was the first to report that the 49ers were discussing a potential reunion with Taylor. The receiver was part of head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch's first draft class in 2017 and spent his first four NFL seasons with the team.
