LOS ANGELES -- The 49ers' iron man had his season end prematurely. Left guard Laken Tomlinson, the team's only player to log every offensive snap in the first 15 games, was carted off in the second quarter of a 48-32 loss to the Rams with a po...

49ers' Kyle Shanahan on Richard Sherman potentially playing safety: "I wouldn't put anything past him"

By David Bonilla
Nov 28, 2020

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman has indicated that he plans to play until he is about 35 years old. That means maybe three more years. At least, that was the plan a couple of years ago. "I think 35 is probably my cutoff," Sherman said in his first season with the 49ers. San Francisco 49ers running back JaMycal Hasty went down with an injury in the fourth quarter of today's loss to the New Orleans Saints. He later left for the locker room to be examined. That means he'll probably miss a significant amount of time and will likely become yet another 49ers player to land on injured reserve. Shanahan is hoping to get running backs Raheem Mostert (ankle) and Tevin Coleman (knee) back after the bye week. "I'm hoping they are," Shanahan said of their chances to return in time for the 49ers' Week 12

Kyle Shanahan praises Kerry Hyder, says D-lineman has saved injury-ravaged 49ers

By David Bonilla

There is no doubt that injuries have played a significant role in the regression of the San Francisco 49ers this season. As Bleacher Report stated in its most recent power rankings, "The Super Bowl hangover has claimed another victim." The defensive line, a strength last season for the defending NFC champions, is among the groups that have been transformed due to injuries. It is almost unrecognizable from the unit that helped lift the team to 13 wins and the division crown last season. Gone are DeForest Buckner, who was traded, Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas, who
