49ers legend Frank Gore casts his vote for the greatest RB-OT combo in NFL history

The ageless San Francisco 49ers legend, Frank Gore, has cast his vote for the best running back and offensive tackle combo in NFL history. The official Twitter account of Bovada Sportsbook asked fans to name their nominees, so Gore went ahead and responded. The 49ers' all-time leading rusher and future Hall of Famer named himself and former teammate Joe Staley. Gore, as of this post, features a photo of Staley's No. 74 as his Twitter profile photo. Raheem Mostert hopes to one day land on NFL Top 100 Players list

Raheem Mostert has some big aspirations. The biggest football-related one might be the San Francisco 49ers running back being motivated by Canton. He hopes to have a good enough career to one day find himself in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If last season's Green Bay Packers defense were the voters, Mostert might be a shoo-in. The former undrafted player rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries against the Packers defense in the NFC Championship Game, helping to punch the 49ers' ticket to Super Bowl LIV. San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch and the team's contract negotiators continue to work diligently to come to an agreement with tight end George Kittle's agent, Jack Bechta, on an extension. Fans were probably hoping that would have been finalized by now, with training camp well underway. The situation isn't something that head coach Kyle Shanahan has to be too concerned with, for now. He remains focused on preparing his players for an unprecedented and unpredictable 2020 season, set to be played amid a pandemic. Shanahan's focus is on football and not contract negotiations.
