Former Charger Getting Fresh Start With 49ers
In 2015, Jeremiah Attaochu looked as if he might be one of the NFL's emerging pass-rushing stars. For the Chargers that season, the former Georgia Tech standout had six sacks and 55 tackles. After that season, he was hungry for more."I want to hone my pass-rush and just really double my production in sacks and strip sacks," Attaochu said in the spring of 2016. He was eager to become a star.Instead, Attaochu's career was sidelined by injuries and a lack of faith from a new Chargers coaching staff. The edge rusher – a 6-foot-3, 252-pound outside linebacker in the Chargers' 3-4 scheme – was limited to just eight games in 2016 because of two injuries and then played just four games last season, even though he was healthy again. Now he's just days away from training camp with the 49ers, where he hopes to get his NFL career back on track as a defensive end/pass-rush specialist. The Chargers let him walk after four seasons and he signed with San Francisco in March on a one-year deal worth as much as $5.1 million. While the 49ers are expecting a big improvement in their pass rush from holdovers DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead, Solomon Thomas and Cassius Marsh in Robert Saleh's...

49ers hold private workout for former Ohio State DB Amir Riep ahead of draft
By David Bonilla

Former Ohio State cornerback Amir Riep played at Lincoln University in Oakland, California, last season. His last season with the Buckeyes was in 2019. While he was dismissed from the program after being charged with rape, the defender was ultimately found not guilty. Now, he aims to prove he can play in the NFL.
Justin Melo of The Draft Network reports that the San Francisco 49ers recently flew Riep out for a private in-person
49ers view Isaac Yiadom as leading candidate to start at CB, says insider

The San Francisco 49ers' signing of cornerback Isaac Yiadom to a one-year deal wasn't a headline-grabbing move. It wasn't even the Bay Area team's most significant free-agency move thus far. That would be defensive end Leonard Floyd signing a two-year deal with the 49ers.
However, San Francisco hopes Yiadom proves to be one of its more underrated signings. The 28-year-old defensive back is coming off his best NFL season. Yiadom's 81.1 overall grade and 80.4 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus were career highs. Opposing quarterbacks completed 50 percent of their passes (22 of 44) and owned an 84.4 passer rating when targeting the former New Orleans Saints defender in 2023.

Over the weekend, Ward took to social media to reveal that he and White share the same agent and that he is willing to nudge the free-agent defensive back in the right direction.
Ward described White as a "hand in glove
