Niners Re-Sign Cassius Marsh for Two More Years
Cassisus Marsh is known for the colorful tattoos that cover both his arms, his "Polar Bear" nickname and his relentless, physical style of play.Now, he'll also be known as a 49er for the next two seasons.Marsh, the former Seahawks and Patriots defensive end, was re-signed by the Niners Wednesday to a two-year deal. Marsh, acquired by San Francisco off waivers from the Patriots in late November, was due to be a free agent in March. But the 49ers loved what they saw in him over the final six games of the season.Marsh was a key special teams player and also saw significant playing time at defensive end. He had two sacks, was in on 10 tackles and forced two fumbles.The 49ers need to upgrade their pass rush in 2018, so they're not done adding pieces to the defense. Two reported 49ers pre-draft visits didn't end up happening

Despite initial reports, two draft prospects who were set to visit the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft ultimately did not meet with the team. Matt Barrows of The Athletic revealed that former USC wide receiver Brenden Rice and former Oregon safety Jamal Hill didn't end up visiting the Bay Area organization.
Barrows wrote, "Meanwhile, a report in March indicated that USC receiver Brenden Rice, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, would visit the 49ers, but he didn't end up coming, according to two league sources."

Brock Purdy isn't one to seek the spotlight. He exudes politeness, respect, and an even-keeled demeanor when speaking to reporters during interviews. Nothing we've seen from the San Francisco 49ers quarterback's time off the field would indicate that it's a facade.
However, on the field, Purdy can show some fire, particularly after a big play or in an effort to ensure his teammates are on the same page as him. The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of wide receiver Trent Taylor to a one-year deal, reuniting with the team's former fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area was the first to report that the 49ers were discussing a potential reunion with Taylor. The receiver was part of head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch's first draft class in 2017 and spent his first four NFL seasons with the team.
