• --
The 49ers have signed cornerback Leon Hall to fill the roster spot of corner Asa Jackson, who sustained a hamstring injury in Sunday's overtime loss to the Colts and was placed on injured reserve. Hall, 32, is a 2007 first-round pick who has made 107 starts and grabbed 27 interceptions in his career. Last year, Hall, who played his first nine seasons with the Bengals, played in 12 games (two starts) with the Giants and had an interception. On Sunday, rookie cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon exited with a concussion and Jackson was also sidelined. Robinson, Donate Johnson and first-string nickel cornerback K'Waun Williams don't have an interception this season.
