Hello, again: 49ers reportedly sign former Browns CB Williams

Feb 21, 2017 at 4:46 PM--

The 49ers have signed former Browns cornerback K'Waun Williams, 25, who spent his first two seasons with Cleveland before sitting out of the NFL last year with an ankle injury. Williams, an undrafted free agent, was with Shanahan, then the Browns offensive coordinator, in Cleveland in 2014. Redmond, a 2016 third-round pick, didn't play last year because of a torn ACL he sustained in college.

The New York Giants have been a whirlwind of a franchise, last making the playoffs in 2016, and going 22-59 during that time span. In addition, they've churned through three head coaches in that time period with Bob McAdoo, Pat Shurmur, and Joe Judge, while keeping GM Dave Gettleman, who's struggled to identify top-tier talent in the draft, and has made questionable free agent decisions, which is why Judge was fired this offseason, and Gettleman "retired", just like Tom Coughlin a few years back. San Francisco 49ers assistant general manager Adam Peters, whose identified talent consistently over the past few years in the draft, is a finalist for New York's GM opening, having completed a second interview yesterday afternoon. The Giants reportedly are

The Giants are reportedly hiring Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Joe Schoen to be their next general manager, per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. Peters interviews twice for the job—once on Monday and again on

This was the story of two halves, as the 49ers seemed outmatched early in this game, with the Rams scoring 17 early points and the 49ers struggling to generate offense en route to just three 1st half points. But, Jimmy Garoppolo and Kyle Shanahan came out for the second half with a mission, scoring two touchdowns to tie the game at 17, the second coming with a creative Deebo Samuel touchdown pass to Jauan Jennings.
