He did demand it before but they weren't gonna move him until it all came out. Was only 2 months or so from demand to allegations coming. Then they kept him out all 2021.

Browns ended up trading for a guy who missed an entire season, had legal allegations against him, was facing a suspension and to top it all of gave him his whole contract guaranteed after trading 3 1sts and more.

His dead cap hit for next year is 131 mil. Gonna cost them 50 mil just to let him leave in 27.

it's clearly the worst trade in NFL history.

The trade itself wouldn't have been too bad, it was the contract that was the worst ever.

Back to Shedeur, he's earned a shot and they would be foolish not to give him one, draft O-Line and WR and see what you have, if he folds draft a QB in 2027.

Just give the man what he deserves (CotY), stop effing around, stupid voters

The standard has become a new head coach taking a last place team to the playoffs in his first season. So you just know it's going to be Vrabes or Ben Johnson or even Coen in Jacksonville.

Kyle will never win it because he's setup expectations that his team will always be competitive and in a place to win every week. If he takes this team to the playoffs (coming off a 6 win season) it won't be looked at as a great thing because he's shown he's a great HC already.

he should have won it earlier in his tenure

pretenders ?

IMO just backs up how well Kyle's been coaching this yr, given how many injuries we've dealt with

It is hard to believe that if the 49ers end up with 1 loss in the division and the Rams win out the Rams will end up winning it. I thought the 49ers also would have the best NFC division record also to go along with it. Baffling Baffling indeed.

Except all those teams that lost to them when they had stronger seasons and won SBs.

2025 Chiefs are not as good as the 2018-2024 Chiefs. Shocking.

They announced signing him, then he disappeared. Where is this guy ?

Now they just signed another LB....does that mean this might of fallen through?

Kendricks is signed to the practice squad. Garrett Wallow is claimed off of waivers, therefore he's on the roster, I presume. Interesting.

I'm guessing they want another LB on the PS, they'll end up switching out... no way this Wallow fella is better than ER

Assuming Jalen Graham is gone and Wallow will take his spot and ST role.

Frank Ragnow fails physical, won't rejoin Lions this season

I didn't realize he was only 29 years old. Awfully young to retire.

Right, a good indication of the toll the game takes on these guys' bodies.

Respect to all of them but especially those guys who play well into their 30's.

To many, the average NFL career length is remarkably short - < 4 years. Players are bigger, faster, stronger, and the impacts are even more harsh.....the toll it takes on recovery, joints, cardiovascular system is immense as the seasons go by.....no matter how much you train or how strong you are. These men are well paid, yes, but they give up a piece of life quality to play at the highest level. Some end up giving up more, unfortunately. We pay for the entertainment and to see the competition, but yeah......it can be a brutally violent sport.....it's an interesting perspective to just watch what's going on in the trenches during games.

Translation on Mac Jones comment, if we get a good enough offer, we'll probably deal him.

If they love what they see in Rourke, I think that makes it a lot easier. I'd love to see what he and Martinez can do in the preseason next year honestly. We might very well have a stacked room still.

Rourke would've gone much higher without the injury.

Josh Allen would destroy this current defense, just look what he did to our healthy defense last time we played.

Doesn't work like that. Just look at his 2 games vs Miami this season

49ers can still take their 5th seed if they lose to the Rams and of course the last game of the season to the 9ers!!!

Yes they can, though I wonder how the 49ers and Seahawks would play that game if the Rams were to have beaten Seattle and have the division locked up. Solid chance one or both teams rest players.

Honestly, this is the best case scenario for us.

Yeah I dont think we win the division. Having to play LAR and/or SEA in the playoffs though is gonna be tough. Those are the only 2 that scare me but at the same time should just be grateful if we make it to the playoffs despite the major injuries we have.

Not sure it even matters really. Seems like he's destined to be nothing but a ST's guy at this point. With Hendricks in the mix now, his chances are next to nothing to getting on the field.

Glad to see the opened Rourke's practice window. I think he'll be the key to what happens with Mac Jones next year. He had 29 TDs to just 5 interceptions his last year at school, with a 69% completion average and all that on a torn ACL. If he can learn the system and bring some of those college numbers with him into the NFL, he could be just the kind of back-up you want. I really like what Jones did for us this year, but as a former first round pick I imagine he will want to parlay that into starter's money somewhere. On the other hand, as a 7th round pick, Rourke may not have those kind of expectations.

Id rather keep Jones and get the 3rd round comp pick in 2028. Unless someone offers a 1st which we can parlay into a starting lineman, keep Jones.

Keep them both. Rourke is impressive and he played through a significant injury and still played at a high level. He's mobile, he has perfect size and he has a good arm. He's a mixture of Brock and Mac. He seems to read the field well and makes good decisions, give him a solid line, let's see what he can do after a year in Kyles offense. Imo he's one of the most complete QB's we've had in the building in a long time if you look at size, mobility, arm strength, field vision and ball placement.

Brock has been great but he's also had his bad moments and he's had a spotty injury history. Between these 3 QBs, we have a solid group, every one of them can succeed in Kyle's offense and have the ability to keep the offense on track if one of them goes down.
