i miss pride because of the ring. it was cool seeing strikers cut off angles versus guys like machida circling everywhere in the octagon. and the deductions to a fighters purse at judges discretion was great incentive to keep things moving

I could swear I remember Pride having tournaments where if a fighter won, he'd fight again the same night until there was a winner. Was I dreaming or was that real? Maybe a different organization? I know the UFC did that a long long time ago too, but not sure if Pride did.
