Fire Farhan straight up. I see the bs writing on the wall.

Get ready for an entire November and December dedicated to "Sources indicate that Shohei Ohtani has been communicating with the Giants front office. An official meeting at an undisclosed location has been discussed."

The conditions will be perfect for it. A player looking to maximize a mega-deal, and a west coast Giants team desperate for a star player. Ohtani's camp will definitely be stringing the Giants along as far as possible to get a team like LA or NY to give him what he wants. It's going to be weeks and weeks of "This might actually be happening. The interest in mutual. Ohtani has arrived at SFO."

I refuse to fall for any of it again. Every offseason is a toxic combination of agents leaking fake rumors, and the media pouring gallons of fuel on the fire to generate content.

yep he will use us just like Arson did

Yep
Yes, if keeping Farhan prevents us from getting the manager we want, he's got to go.

I still believe money talks. And Arson WOULD have signed with us if we blew him away with a contract offer. But since we offered a similar contract to the Yankees, he obviously went there.

What is this Arson business? Why is that a thing? There is a free part to free agency, no one has to come here. It's Aaron.

Agree. The Arson stuff is stupid. And I think the Giants did make a much bigger offer than what Judge was initially being offered by the Yankees. But let's be real here. The only chance the Giants had to land Judge was to make an obscene overpay. It made all the sense in the world for him to stay with a team that is competitive just about every year and would cement his legacy as a Yankee great.

Because people are corny and latch on to things that weren't even funny the first time. Remember half the webzone thinking "Reuben Froster" was hilarious?

Its going to be the downfall of Farhan (already was for Kapler) for missing out on Judge. We needed a true lockerroom leader and middle of the order bat for years to come. The FA class this year is Shohei and a bunch of dudes who don't move the needle.

If they miss out on Shohei, I believe this will be Farhan's last season. I can't see them being competitive.

You can't miss out on something that was never actually available. Judge played the Giants, just like Harper and Stanton.

I am with Steve, there was a dollar amount that could have gotten it done and yes it would have been a gross overpay but it was have gave us a piece we desperately needed and haven't had in a long time here.

I forgot all about the Arson tweet tbh so my bad SWH,
he seems like a real cool dude, in addition to being a tremendous slugger
I wish we landed him but it wasn't meant to be, on to the next..

I know I have said this to you before, but I stand by it. There is very little difference between a player making $40M a season and a player making $45-48M a season from an organizational standpoint. Both will be bad contracts by the end, so whats the difference?

This is funny coming from a guy complaining some dudes are paid $20m vs $10m for just 1 season lol
