To not panic like you do all the time. To not tank the season simply because they wont be a front runner to win it. To see how things play out with the current roster before making a bad trade.

Thats my solution. In other words, its exactly what Myers will do.

You may want to check the stats again Mayo. In reality, Barnes had a lower points per game average, a lower rebounds per game average, and a lower assists per game average last year with Dallas than either of the previous 2 seasons. Oh, his FG percentage dropped to 40% with the Mavs.

How is that totally turning his game around?

I never looked into his stats - I guess I was wrong. Thought he was a solid player who turned things around - guess not.

Yep. SO far so good. The problem the Dubs have is trying to figure out who they will release or trade if they want to keep Chriss. Seems like it will be either:
1) Trade Jacob Evans for a 2nd rd pick to open a spot
2) Trade Omari Spellman for a 2nd rd pick to open a spot
3) Release Alfonzo McKinnie

I like the upside of Chriss, only 22 years old and looks like he might be figuring out things. Mckinnie had some good moments but I think Criss would be a lot more valuable.
