All it took was a pandemic to possibly get the kings back in the playoffs

I am not a lawyer, but I am pretty sure contracts need approval from all sides to have dates moved back or extended. If the league starts on July 22nd, every single player and coach's 2019-2020 contract will have expired. Just seems really messy and its something I havent seen a single article on.
Considering NBA is working on this along with the players union - don't see this to be much of an issue.
I was coming from a place of ignorance. I havent seen anything about this. Thats great that they are "working with" the players union, but both sides do not have the same agenda. So we will see what comes out of that. But I am very interested to see how this is all works itself out. We already have players who have been very outspoken about not wanting to come back, so it cant be nearly as easy as you are making it sound.

I think both sides kind of do have the same agenda. Players don't want to lose projected 900m dollars in cap space if season doesn't resume.

I disagree. The players union has one priority, and that's to lookout for themselves. The priority of the owners is not to look out for the players. That in and of itself shows they do not have the same agenda.
Regardless, they need to hurry up and figure it out. The season needs to end by Labor Day, or the NBA will be in for a rude awakening.

Everyone is and must lookout for themselves. That's not something new.
What I meant was pretty straight forward. They have the same agenda as far as restarting the league. They both stand to lose a lot of money. Each side could lose up to a billion dollars if they don't. Neither players nor owners want that.
