Great NBA Backcourts

Jordan and Harper. That backcourt could lock anyone down with their size, length and skill

Those Bulls teams were ridiculusly talented. Harper was basically their version of Iggy.

Crazy. Those 2 in the backcourt and then another, even longer one in Pippen at the 3. All 3 could lock down anyone, handle the ball and facilitate the offense. Then you had Rodman who could take out anyone on the block or guard guys on the perimeter. Ridiculously talented indeed .

They had the best 3 perimeter defenders in the league all on one team

...and all 3 could average 6-7 assists a game as well. Obviously, Jordan averaged 30 a night...but Pippen could average 25 on his own team and Harper could average 20 if needed. And as Hoov said - then you got Rodman (best rebounder in modern era) in the post.

Not to forget - ridiculous outside shooters in Kerr and Kukoc. That team was by far the most talented team built after the Lakers/Boston of 80s and before this Warriors juggernaut. Lakers with Shaq is the only team that is in this discussion.

Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton

+1

I personally don't think Billups and Hamilton is a great back-court. Pretty good...but I wouldn't call it great.

I think that Detroit team had a really strong starting 5 and played great individual and team defense. But, offensively - they were pretty average.
