Can't wait for the season to start!!!
Charles Barkley and TNT studio crew pulled from Warriors opener

TNT will cancel its NBA fan event in San Francisco on Oct. 17 because of the wildfires impacting the Bay Area. TNT's NBA studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charley Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal also will no longer host their pre-game and post-game show at the Civic Center Plaza near City Hall.

"Through our ongoing conversations with local officials, we reached this decision primarily to ensure all of the valuable resources and focus can be directed toward those in need," Turner Sports in an emailed statement. "Our deepest condolences are extended to all of the people impacted by these tragic fires."

Turner Sports said the NBA and its sponsor American Express collaborated on the decision to cancel the event out of concerns how it would affect recovery efforts surrounding the wildfires. But the studio's absence also removes a potential storyline involving the Warriors heading into their season opener on Tuesday against the Houston Rockets at the Oracle.

Barkley has criticized the Warriors in recent seasons, including their style of play and their concerns about the NBA's previous 82-game schedule compromising the players' long-term health.
TNT will still broadcast the Warriors-Rockets game, featuring Marv Albert (play-by-play), Chris Webber (analyst) and David Aldridge (sideline reporter).

MY body is readyyy
Almost time, bros.
unless there is a major catastrophe, GSW going to the Finals for 4th straight year and winning it.

Damn, this decade has been the golden age for Bay Area sports fans. Every year, a team has made the championship or the final four:

2010 - SF Giants - Champs
2011 - Niners - got to NFC title game
2012 - Niners got to SB; Giants - Champs
2013 - Niners got to NFC Title Game
2014 - Giants - Champs
2015 - GSW - Champs
2016 - GSW - got to Finals; Sharks got to Stanley Cup Finals
2017 - GSW -Champs
2018-20 - GSW - most likely Champs

the 80s was a pretty good decade: (greatest for Niners fans)

1980 - Oakland Raiders - SB Champs
1981 - Niners - SB Champs
1982 - nada
1983 - LA Raiders - SB champs (okay they in LA now but still lots of fans from Bay Area), Niners lost NFC title game
1984 - Niners -SB Champs
1985 - nada
1986 - none
1987 - none
1988 - Niners - SB Champs; A's - lost WS
1989 - Niners - SB Champs, Giants lost WS, A's won WS
1990 - A's lost WS, Niners lost NFC title game
^^^^biggest shocker was sharks lol

Casspi and Iguodala practiced today but they are still listed as questionable for tomorrow. Livingston practiced and is listed as probable

Just watched the highlights Bell really looks good. He is so bouncy and all over the place. I think David West and McGee might loose minutes this season because of the way Bell is playing.

West will be 37, and his minutes will be managed tightly. He will get some games off too (I mean, he will get a mysterious strained back). McGee's minutes might get cut into against certain teams too, because it seems Bell will not get abused on the PnR as much as McGee. Still can't believe this guy lasted until the mid 2nd round. He had 8 blocks against Kentucky in the NCAA's.

Less than 24 hours. Can't wait.
Where the heck is SofaKing? All hands on deck!
I'm sure it was tongue in cheek.

Draymond Green says Jordan Bell was about to take his spot
This offseason, the Golden State Warriors were successful in keeping their core intact, as well as adding a few key pieces to their already formidable lineup. While Nick Young and Omri Casspi are the biggest names who agreed to join them, rookie Jordan Bell may have brought in the biggest intrigue.

The Warriors' coaching staff and players, including Draymond Green, think highly of Bell and believes that he truly belongs in the NBA. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year even said, via Mark Medina of The Mercury News, that he had to make sure he is ready for opening night, as the 22-year-old was ready to take on his spot.

Draymond Green on Jordan Bell: "I had to make sure I was ready for opening night. He was about to take my spot."

12:54 PM - Oct 16, 2017

Jordan Bell was the 38th overall pick in last June's draft, following his three-year stint at Oregon. Standing at 6-foot-9, he has the ability to play both forward positions, but his stock was boosted by his versatility on defense and boundless energy. Although he still needs some fine-tuning, Bell's potential as an elite defender makes for a salivating prospect.
With some of the best forwards in the league today as his teammates, Bell could definitely learn a lot from Draymond Green and Kevin Durant. If he can further develop his skill set, not only will it be possible for him to receive more playing time, but he could also earn the trust of Steve Kerr to make him a part of the Warriors' future plans.
