I was going to post this but threw away my notes, while listening to KNBR Tom Tolbert brought up the topic, so here goes. I've followed sports for a long time and am checking out College Basketball box-scores and there are teams I've never heard of appearing out of thin air. Here's a sample:

Warner South - any association with Warner Brothers?
Tiffin - Google says it's a disposable container
Radford - Any affiliation with former NBA player Wayne Radford?
New Jersey Tech - Is it a plumbing college?
Santa Barbara - I want to go there.
Cincinnati Christian - Do you have to be Christian to attend?
Erskine - Didn't he pitch for the Dodgers in the 50's?
Belmont - And they're off
Lipscomb - This one is easy, named after the great Big Daddy Lipscomb
Franklin Pierce - Wasn't he a bad president?
Young Harris - Are graduate courses at Old Harris?
Eureka - Did they name a college after the TV show?
NW Crookston - Are there safe cracking classes?
Hillsdale Free Will Baptist - Does one have to believe in Free Will to attend?
ILPFW - ??????????????
Champion Baptist - Is Hilldale Free Will Baptist on their schedule?
Grand Canyon - Is the Campus at the bottom of the Canyon?
Presentation College - What exactly are they Presenting?
