In defense of Freese though, he was hurt throughout ST..so the start of the seasoning is ST for him.
He is back to normal now.

it should be Josh Donaldson, but there's a few great 3bs in the AL so he might not get in
I could see them picking Colon or Balfour, no one has been as important to the A's as much as Donaldson but they've also been great

Won't hurt to be an alternate.

The Cards will have plenty of all-stars. Its best to just have the deserving ones make it.
Molina, Carpenter, Beltran, Wainwright, Miller, and Mujica will all be there.
SF will again reap the benefits of winning the NL by having Bochy choose backups and pitching. I think Posey and Sandoval get in via fan voting, and Bochy picks Pence, Scutaro, Bumgarner, and Romo. All deserving, but nice to know they have less of a chance to get snubbed.

NL starter catcher spot between Molina and Posey going to go down the wire. Outfield picture getting pretty interesting as Beltran has jumped to the top 3.
Why not just split the outfield voting to three seperate positions (RF,CF,LF)?

Beltran now leads all OF in voting.
Posey now only leads by 63K votes

He finished in the top 2 or 3 last year as well. I know alot of people criticized the Giants fanbase for stuffing the ballot box last year, as we had a Giant in the top 3 of almost every position, deserving or not. Belt and Crawford were top 2-3 at their positions despite being terrible at the time.
