Cook with another W, sucks for Straily. But wow, took 3/4 from the Jays, didn't think the A's had it in them. Now NINE straight vs. Astros, Indians, Mariners @ OAK. Indians beat up the A's earlier this season, but that's when Indians were on fire. And Mariners just own the A's this year. C'mon A's, now's the time to get on one of those win 12 of 15 type hot streaks.

A really entertaining series in Toronto. By looking at their lineup, you know that they can easily get runs. Our pitching seemed to stifle them a bit, and get outs at critical moments.
Being that Texas is sweeping the 'Stros, we should definitely do the same. Then take 2/3 of the series vs Cle and Sea.

I think anything less than 6-3 on this homestand is a huge disappointment, considering the opponents and how well Rangers are playing.

Glad to see the offense score 5, 14, 4, 6 and 5 runs in the last 5 games after a few weeks of a 3 runs/game average, even if some of the bad habits are still around (I'm looking at you, runner at 3rd with less than two outs).
I agree that 6-3 should be the minimum expectations for the homestand.

And hopefully Callaspo is comfortable now after the trade and will continue to provide a bit of clutch hitting. Definitely wouldn't have got the same production the last couple days from Rosales and Green, IMO.

Don't look now...but GG has 7 hits in his last 19 ABs since coming back up for the Halos. (note: none of them extra-base hits though)

He'll get his hits. But in the short term Callaspo's experience is preferred.

As we figured, our little buddy Jemile Weeks has been back at second base (for Sac) for the past week now.

Not knowing where to play Grant Green on defense had serious ripple effects, and with Green no longer around things have settled for the AAA defense.
