Josh Donaldson has been EVERYTHING this season...Everything that a 3rd baseman should be. We haven't seen #'s like this from a 3rd baseman since Chavey's best years...
.332 (8th in AL)
8 HR
37 RBI
.931 OPS (4th in AL)
With the glove, he has 5 errors in 60 games. Good. .969 Fielding %.
But...he probably won't make the All-Star game (Cabrera/Beltre/Longoria)

A's should have extra energy as compared to the White Sox in tonight's game. A;s coming from the short distance of Milwaukee, while White Sox just finished a 16-inning marathon in Seattle.

we took high school outfielder Billy McKinney with our first round pick
@JaneMLB: A's select prep OF Billy McKinney with 24th overall pick. Left-handed bat."
"@JaneMLB: McKinney says on @MLBNetwork he's been an A's fan his whole life."
"@susanslusser: McKinney hit .372 with a .585 OBP for Plano West, walking 36 times in 130 PAs and striking out only six times. #Athletics"
Cespy's replacement?

Originally posted by SCOUTING REPORT: McKinney has one of the sweetest swings in the 2013 draft, and he has hit his way into the first round with a strong spring. He generates excellent bat speed from the left side of the plate, and he barrels balls with ease thanks to his hand-eye coordination and disciplined approach. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder has strength and should grow into solid power. The rest of McKinney's tools are fringy to average, but his arm and speed play up because he goes all-out all the time. Scouts love his makeup and are confident that he'll provide the offense required on an outfield corner. Texas Christian holds on to many of its top recruits, but the Horned Frogs will likely lose McKinney when he goes in the second half of the first round.:

Well, that was a nerve wracking game. It was good to see Straily work through rough spots even if those rough spots were lame. Need more baserunners before those HRs. Reddick was due so glad to see him get one, especially with the tough luck outs hes had since coming back. Dolittle wasnt perfect but at least he kept them scoreless.

Our pitching this series looks bad yet they are still giving us quality innings. I'm so confused!
PS Donaldson is an all star.

Reddick has really delivered with his glove since returning. The last two games he's saved two runs, one that would have won the game for the Sox before it went to extra innings, and tonight to secure the win. Plus, he went 2-4. I think he'll be over .200 in a week or so if he continues to make contact the way he has been this week.
