For the first time in 21 years, the Pittsburgh Pirates are headed to the postseason.

So, officially one more spot to go and may be likely the Reds.

In the AL, the Rays are in cruise control for a postseason spot but the second spot is muddled up.

Reds have clinched as well. All NL teams are set other than the winner of the NL Central.

However, there are some that think the Nationals still have a chance.
It's been a tale of good pickup/bad pickup with the Texas Rangers. The good pickup turned out to be outfielder Alex Rios who hit for the cycle vs. the Houston Astros. The addition of Rios has been a relief for them and may not consider in re-signing Nelson Cruz for the upcoming off-season.
Miggy may not sequel the TC but at least he will be playing in October.

What if he was not out due to an injury?

still don't think Miggy would have caught Davis for HR's even if he played every game
Miggy has 20 more BB (7 more IBB) than Davis

Plus Davis only has 30 more AB's. Cabrera wouldve needed 9 HR in 30 AB to pass him. Thats unrealistic, even for him.

I think the only major award that is a toss up is NL ROY. Will it be Puig or Fernandez. I think the others have clear frontrunners.

I would go with Puig. .946 OPS and a .326 BA is pretty amazing for a rookie. He basically put the Dodgers on his back when they were down and out and the team didnt even miss Matt Kemp. But, its close.

Puig couldn't hit this

Carlos Gomez sure know how to hotdog while trotting the bases after homering and then clear the benches.
